1 · Pick the day you switch
The first of a month is easiest, the first day of your financial year is tidiest. Your old package keeps everything up to that date — you do not close it, you just stop adding to it.
You do not have to wait for a new financial year, and you do not have to move your old data. You pick a date: everything before it stays where it is, everything after it happens in CORA.

One screen: your bank balances on that day, the invoices your customers still owe you, the invoices you still owe, and the rest of your balance sheet. Take it straight from your old package's balance sheet at that date. CORA only books it when debit and credit are equal to the cent — no hidden difference that turns up a year later.
The unpaid invoices you enter become real open invoices in CORA. Your receivables list, your reminders and your ageing carry on where they left off, and when the money comes in it matches against them by itself.
From the switch date you upload your statements here, or connect your bank. Purchase invoices and receipts go in the same way. Within a week you will have forgotten the old one.

This is where CORA is different: you do not start empty. Upload your old sales invoices (PDF or Word), your customer list (CSV or Excel), purchase invoices and receipts (photos or PDF) and your bank statements — CORA reads them, stores them in one searchable archive and books what belongs in the books. One system, with everything in it from day one.
One screen: your bank balances on the switch date, what customers still owe you, what you still owe suppliers, and the rest of your balance sheet — straight from your old package. CORA refuses to book it until debit and credit are equal to the cent, so there is no hidden difference that surfaces a year later.
The unpaid invoices you bring across become real open invoices in CORA. Your receivables, reminders and ageing pick up exactly where they left off — and when the money arrives, it matches against them by itself. Switching mid-year works just as well as at year-end.
Send us the balance sheet from your old package at the switch date and we will go through it together, line by line, before anything is booked. That is included — we would rather spend an hour now than untangle it later.
Seven days free. Put one real statement in and see what comes out — you can decide about switching afterwards.
