Accounting software for Aruba

CORA is online accounting software for entrepreneurs and companies in Aruba. Upload your bank statement or forward it to your own CORA address, take a photo of your receipts, and CORA reads them, matches them to your bank lines and keeps your books up to date.

Your BBO, BAVP and BAZV return is ready per rate with the deadline on your dashboard; you copy the amounts into the tax portal. Guilders, dollars and euros sit in one set of books, each at that day's rate, and your accountant gets a free read-only login.

Where CORA works

Not a general package with a country dropdown. Pick where your company is registered and you get that country: its tax, its rates, its periods, its deadlines — set up before you book your first invoice.

CORA for Aruba, in four minutes

The real app, start to finish: your bank, your invoices, your tax return and your year-end.

BBO/BAZV/BAVP, ready on the day

Every sale and purchase moves your BBO/BAZV/BAVP the moment you book it. CORA watches the deadline and hands you the exact figures to file — no scramble at the end of the month.

Your bank, in automatically

Send in the statements your bank actually gives you — upload them, or let your bank email them in — and they book themselves. Guaranteed to work with the banks here.

Year-end, ready

Your jaarrekening builds itself from the books, with notes and signatures, ready 8 months after year-end.

How it works here

That cash basis is where most packages get Aruba wrong, and it is exactly what CORA counts. An invoice you sent in March but were paid for in April belongs to April, and CORA puts it there by itself. Your monthly return is ready and dated, split per component, and the deadline sits in your calendar. You copy the figures into the form at the Departamento di Impuesto. Filed and paid gets recorded, so nothing is counted twice.

Your bank

Your local bank — the one thing nobody else solved

Island banks do not offer a connection a package can use, so everyone else shrugs and leaves you typing. We did the opposite: CORA reads the statements your bank actually hands out, in the format it actually hands them out in. Upload it or let your bank email it in. It works, guaranteed.

Everything CORA does on Aruba

The complete list, checked against the product — not a promise for later.

BBO, BAVP and BAZV

  • One levy of 7% — BBO 2.5%, BAVP 1.5%, BAZV 3% — on what you actually receive. Cash basis by default, invoice basis if you choose it.
  • Never on the invoice: the law forbids showing the levy, so CORA keeps it off invoices, quotes, PDFs and the payment page, and books it as a cost.
  • Your monthly return in the order of the BOi form, split into the three levies, due by the 15th — a weekend moves it to the Monday.
  • Import of trade goods: the 7% paid at customs is deducted, and a surplus is refunded.
  • Exports exempt; electronic, telecom and broadcast services to customers abroad fall outside Aruba; the same services bought from abroad are reverse-charged to you.
  • Small business (art. 14a): a sole trader up to Afl. 50,000 switches the levy off, and CORA tracks the turnover against that limit.
  • You copy the figures into the BOi portal of the Departamento di Impuesto; you mark the period as filed, and CORA warns you if the books change afterwards.

Invoices

  • Your persoonsnummer on every invoice — CORA warns you when it is missing — and the supply date printed.

Year-end and profit tax

  • An indication of your profit tax — 22% with the 10% investment allowance — with the dates for the provisional and the final return.
  • Turnover in the books reconciled with your monthly returns.
  • Dividend tax: 10% — 0% for a qualifying participation — booked automatically, due within 15 days.
  • Annual accounts — balance sheet, profit and loss, notes and result appropriation — built from the books and signed digitally by your directors, due 8 months after year-end.
  • A year only closes when every bank account, in every currency, matches its statements.

Your bank and getting paid

  • Aruba Bank, Banco di Caribe, CMB, RBC Royal Bank: CORA reads the statement your bank gives you — the PDF, or the MT940, CAMT, CSV or Excel export. Upload it, or let your bank email it to your CORA address.
  • Payment links through Sentoo (add-on): a QR code on the invoice and a pay button in your email — Aruba Bank, Banco di Caribe and CMB.
  • A euro account connects live through Ponto, at no cost in CORA.

Every day, on every island

  • Purchase invoices and receipts read for you — e-invoices (UBL and CII) exactly — and matched to your bank lines with the reasons shown.
  • Invoices and quotes in your own style; quotes signed online; reminders and recurring invoices go out by themselves.
  • Your own CORA email address for bank statements and supplier invoices.
  • Guilders, dollars, euros and florins side by side, with exchange rates fetched every day.
  • Webshops connected — Shopify, WooCommerce, Square and Lightspeed — and your till: a photo of the Z-report, the till export, or Loyverse every night.
  • Reports, a free read-only login for your accountant, the whole year in one zip — and the CORA app for Android.
What CORA does not do hereIt prepares the BOi return, but you submit it yourself. The profit tax figure is an indication for you and your adviser, not a filed return, and there is no payroll calculation.
